Just a Note
I am moving tomorrow and may not have time to post for a few days. I will be back!
Promise
thefantasticlittlethings asked: I usually don't follow back blogs right away, but I love this blog! :-)
Aww, thanks so much. I just started it and have been nervous to get my name out there. Any feed back or suggestions would be wonderful ^.^
This is a great way to look at a plateau!

An Important Message!
This quote says something I have always wondered. A friend from My Fitness Pal (myfitnesspal.com) posted this on a forum and I found it to be inspiring. It’s time to stand out and reject this theme in today’s society:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? … Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. … It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” - Marianne Williamson
Why does society make it a bad thing to love yourself?
Everywhere there are beauty and self “improvement” ads but when someone really loves themselves and isn’t afraid to say it we call them vain. It is quite ridiculous.
Loving yourself is thee best thing you can do for not only you but everyone in your life.
Please, do yourself a favor: STOP HATING YOURSELF! I don’t care if you’re not at you’re goal weight. I don’t care if you’re 200lbs over weight. I don’t even care if you’re missing a limb. FREAKIN’ STOP IT, DUDE! Love you. Love the you you have right now, at this very moment.
You have so much to give if you’d just let yourself shine.
Once I allowed myself to be “vain” I truly started enjoy life a lot more.
I know I’m worth loving.
I also know there will be plenty of people who don’t see that-but so what?! Do I really need, or want, someone in my life that makes me feel less than perfect? Nope. I sure don’t!
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE. LOVE YOU AND THE RIGHT THINGS WILL COME INTO YOUR LIFE.
Here is another quote on the same subject:
“Having a low opinion of yourself is not “modesty”. It’s self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not “egotism”. It’s a necessary precondition to happiness and success.” ~Bobbe Sommer
Have You Ever Had Someone (Important to You) Discourage You?
I am totally in love with improving myself. Not just my body but my mind as well.
I am a huge believer in mental health and keeping your mind state in a positive place. (I will constantly state this in my posts.)
So what do you do when someone really important to you discourages you from following your dreams? What do you do when a family member, a role model, a great friend tells you, “You can’t,” or, “You shouldn’t,” or, “You’re selling yourself short.” Talk about painful, right?
This is what you do:
If it’s really your dream to do something-DO IT. NEVER LET SOMEONE IMPORTANT TO YOU GET YOU DOWN JUST BECAUSE THEY’RE IMPORTANT TO YOU. NO MATTER WHAT YOU, ALONE, ARE INCHARGE OF YOUR OWN HAPPINESS. Fuck’em. What they say is not that important. Their opinion should never stop you from creating the best possible you.
I have really decided that fitness and mental health are my passion in life. Not only that but the impact they have on other people really makes me happy. So I got to thinking: What can I do that puts my passions into action?
Answer: Personal Trainer! I LOVE it. It really does fit me.
I’m bossy-really-I like telling people what to do ;P
I’m encouraging
I’m caring
It’s social
It’s engaging
It’s challenging
I can have piercings, tattoos, bubble gum pink hair!
I tell this to someone, who’s opinion matters to me, and they tell me, “I think you’re selling yourself short.”
REALLY?! Ouch. Thanks for that encouragement. You know this is something I am passionate about and you just slap that excitement right out of my face.
NO. I won’t let you.
I understand their concern for my financial well-being. But what they don’t understand is my mental well-being is much more important to me. Also, I honestly believe when someone does what they truly love financial stability will follow. Isn’t that what America is all about. Finding something you love and becoming successful from it?
So, please, follow your dreams. Haters gonna hate. Don’t let it get to you! <3
